Carl plays for Gladstone old goats Rugby Union team which is an Over 35 Rugby union team.
They have played 6 games this year having playing Biggenden, Rockhampton and Bundaberg. A Combined Bundaberg, Gladstone and Harvey Bay team recently played against the Condamine Cods. In Mid August 2012 a combined Bundaberg and Gladstone team travelled to Norfolk Island for a 8 team competition. The Old Goats also scheduled two more games a bit closer to home. One in September against the Biggenden Udders and one in October against the Bundy Bears.
