Austral Lending Solutions comprises Carl Weston and the Team.

We are finance and mortgage brokers with two local offices based in Gladstone.

What matters to us is helping our clients to reach their financial goals, whatever they may be. We don’t look for a quick solution simply to get your business, we care about our clients future and long term goals.

Our portfolio of lending options spans home loans, business loans, equipment finance, insurance and many other products – so we can handle a single project for you, or your entire portfolio.

Director

Carl’s focus is to provide local people and businesses with a broker service that truly meets the needs of his clients. Carl, who has over 20 years experience in the finance industry has set up Austral Lending Solution to be accredited with 100% of lenders to allow complete flexibility in the solutions that can be offered to clients.

Carl believes in offering clients solutions for the long term, to help achieve personal or business financial goals. Austral Lending Solutions will offer you money lending solutions that we believe are right for you in your circumstances.

Helen Weston

Director

Helen employs and manages the people at Austral Lending Solutions and prides herself on employing well qualified people who are ideally suited to the Austral Lending Solutions culture. As a result they are lucky to have long serving members of staff and a very low staff turnover.

Helen holds the Cert IV in Financial Services, Cert IV in Small Business Management and also manages the bookkeeping for the business.

Together Carl and Helen own Austral Lending Solutions.

Natalie Holzberger

Loan Administrator

Natalie has worked in the finance industry for 27 years, first in banking and then in the broker world for the last 12 years. “I really enjoy my job and find it very satisfying when customers achieve their goal of saving for their home especially when I have had a helping hand in that” says Natalie.

She is accredited with MFAA and has completed her Diploma of Finance and Mortgage Broking Management. She has lived in Gladstone on and off most of her life and thinks it is a great place to bring up children. She has been married to Tony for over 20 years and they have two daughters.

Leeanne Spencer

Finance Broker

Leeanne has 19 years of local commercial banking experience. Since 2018 I have worked with Austral as a finance broker and prior to his I worked for ANZ bank as the local commercial finance relationship manager in Gladstone.

I am passionate about supporting my clients to achieve their personal & business goals by finding a financial solution that is right for them. Brief History

Carl started his working life working for SGIO insurance in 1984 after finishing year 12 at St Brendan’s College an all boys boarding school in Yeppoon.1984

In 1987 he started a degree in business (majoring in Marketing) which was completed in 1990.1987-1990

From there he started with Esanda Finance Corporation Limited in Rockhampton with Steve Esdale as the Manager. With Esanda he travelled to Hervey Bay and Traralgon in Victoria.1990

Helen started work with NAB and married Carl in 1993. She worked for NAB for 10 years throughout Central Qld and in Hervey Bay as a relief staff member.1993

Helen worked the La Trobe Valley branches after they moved to Victoria in 1995.1995

In 1997 Carl took a retrenchment from Esanda and started as a commercial finance broker for new firm Esdale Sinclair & Associates Pty Ltd (finance brokers) in Rockhampton.

1997

After 3 years as a finance broker Carl and Helen Weston moved to Gladstone and started Esdale Sinclair and Associates Gladstone Pty Ltd, finance brokers & managers of Pioneer Permanent Building Society Gladstone.2000

In 2005 Carl and Helen assumed full ownership of the business, rebranding to Austral Lending Solutions in 2008.2005

During the last 21 years Carl and Helen have bought and sold real estate all over the state, had two children and renovated their current business premises, to make it the modern office complex it is today. Helen Weston (Nee Buchanan) grew up in Gladstone and is related to many of the pioneers of the Gladstone region.
